Bertrand Hamoumraoui - Head Coach
Bertrand Hamoumraoui skied for the U23 France team, is coaching certified in France and challenged his coaching certification in Whistler, BC. He loves all parts of skiing - from the club connections, to racing, coaching athletes of all ages and waxing. Before joining the Strathcona Nordic Ski Club Community, he was working in Whistler and coached some of our Vancouver Island Biathlon Club athletes. Bertrand's technical knowledge is a strength, along with his energy and approachability. A fun fact - he also trained as a pastry chef :)

Jasper Blake- General Manager
Jasper has dedicated much of his life to sport as an athlete, coach and business owner. He is excited to bring that experience to the Strathcona Nordic community. A strong believer in the power of sport to build confidence, community, and resilience, Jasper is looking forward to supporting the club’s athletes, families, and volunteers in his new role. Jasper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and brings over three decades of experience in sport and athlete development. Jasper has coached across multiple disciplines and holds NCCP certifications in triathlon, alpine skiing, tennis, track and field and fundamental movement skills. Jasper also brings the perspective of a lifelong athlete. He spent nearly 20 years competing professionally in endurance sports and represented Canada on multiple National Team projects.
