School Program Coordinators

Angela Nadler

CIBC Wood Gundy XC Ski School Program Coordinator and Jackrabbit volunteer and parent.

I skied for 22 years in Manitoba before moving to Vancouver Island. My husband and I started skiing when we were in university and looking for some outdoor recreation to do on a cold prairie evening after school. A decade later, when our oldest child was 3 years old, we became very involved in our local ski club, Boundary Trails Nordic Club. As a family we became very involved in the Jackrabbits program with coaching (and I was the Jackrabbits coordinator). We also had a family ski afternoon every Sunday for the entire ski season with three families who became our closest friends. Every year, when I hit the ski trails for the first time, I find my “happy place” that I have been missing since the spring. I love to ski for the exercise and for the energy and joy that I get from being outside surrounded by the snow.

Kenna Winterburn

CIBC Wood Gundy XC Ski School Program Coordinator

Hello! I’m Kenna, this season I’m sharing the coordinator position for the CIBC Wood Gundy Program, bringing local school groups up to Mount Washington to share the fantastic experience and passion of Nordic Skiing. This is my second year with the Strathcona Nordics Ski Club as an instructor/coach and am very excited to become more involved in the program, I thoroughly enjoy introducing the sport to many young people in our community. I have completed my ICC, CC, and am currently involved in the L2T coaching course. I have two young children and am looking forward to sharing my love of the mountains and all on snow activities with them. I cannot wait for them to be chasing me down the trails! Hope to get a chance to see you all out there too!
